Survey Analysis

Analysis of Results:

Gender:

My results have shown that 80 % of participants that took part in my survey were females. However, I don't believe this will have too much effect on music magazines due to there being limited evidence that the music magazines are targeting one specific gender.

Preferred Music Genre:

I can conclude from my results that the most popular music genre was Rock and Pop. However, R&B has still shown to be a very popular music genre. However, as it's not as popular as the others I am going to produce a magazine on this genre so I can give the music magazine industry a variation.

Preferred colours on the magazine:

From my results it has shown me that the most popular colours chosen for the magazine layout colours are black and white. This has given me an idea for what colours are the most preferred when on a magazine. 

Features:

When asking what features they would prefer to see on the magazine between the two options of interviews or products, the statistics show that interviews were much more popular than products. This gives me an idea of what to include in my magazine as I have an insight what the audience intend to see.

Ways of listening to music:

When asked what ways do you listen to music, the audience were given a choice to choose from if they purchase music or do they listen to music via an app. The results showed that more people listen to their music through an app instead of purchasing music themselves.

Purchasing Magazines:

After asking how often people purchase magazines, the results shows that most people answered by saying monthly. Therefore I will be producing a magazine that will be made every month. Therefore this will suit my audience needs by supplying them with a monthly subscription.

Celebrities:

When asking my audience which gender celebrity they would prefer to see on the front cover 80% of them had said a male. This is slightly bias due to more female participants. However, this gives me an insight on which is the preferred  sex to use on my magazine.

Information:

After asking what information you would want included in the magazine, the most popular answer was joint between tour dates and new albums. This gives me an idea of what to include in my magazine as special features  to my audience response.

Purchasing Magazine:

After asking how often you buy music magazines I got an equal response of 50% saying yes and 50% saying no, this shows  how often music magazines are bought and weather they are popular or not.
